Chinese medicine stimulates the body’s natural healing potential by treating the root cause rather than just symptoms. It minimizes undesired side effects and accumulated toxicity from invasive procedures and drug therapies; it strengthens and balances one’s general health so that IVF, GIFT, ZIFT, ICSI, AHT, and TET procedures are more effective. Pregnancy also becomes easier to achieve as the patient derives general health benefits (source: Dr. Roger Hirsh OMD, Lac). We treat infertility with acupuncture, meridian massage, herbs, and food as medicine; the following Ping’s treatments, remedies, and foods enhance fertility for both women and men:
Acupuncture, Ping's meridians massage, and Cupping: Improve circulation, reduce inflammations, relax muscles, decrease stress, rebalance hormones and strengthen the self-healing power. We have treated fertility cases for the past 20 years; many women had babies after treatments. Some women were over age 40; they had a baby with IVF and acupuncture treatments. After fertility treatments, the pregnancy rate is over 60% at our clinic.
White Drink: Nagaimo Yam (Shan Yao) about 30-50 grams, one box (50 gram) Natto, ¼ lemon, and 1 cup of water. Blend well and drink ½-1 cup before each meal. Note: Shan Yao needs to be washed and boiled (2-3 minutes) before blending.
This drink boosts energy, rebalances hormones, provides protein, and improves general health. Natto is a fermented soybean used daily in Japan; it has enzymes helping circulation, friendly bacteria (Bacillus Subtilis) improving good intestinal bacteria, and soybean isoflavones rebalancing hormones.
Red Drink: 15-30 Goji berries, 3 Dried Chinese dates (jujube), 1/2 cup water, boil for 5 minutes, then cool down, then blend well and drink ½-1 cup before each meal. Note: wash the berries and dates before cooking them.
This drink will nourish the blood, kidneys, and reproductive system, relax the body and help sleep.
Yellow Food (Millet Porridge): 1 cup of millet, 4 cups of water. Boil and simmer until the millet is soft, then ready to eat as a staple food. After cooking, you can add honey or brown sugar to sweeten.
Millet is considered the smallest seed but has the most potent energy. Therefore, millet porridge is the most important food to boost energy and stay healthy. It is helpful after having a baby or someone after an illness returning to good health.
Boiled Peanuts: a handful of raw peanuts, 2-3 cups of water, cook for 5 minutes; add salt or seasoning for flavor, eat them as a daily snack. Boiled peanuts contain high fiber and help with bowel movements; they are also a traditional food in China to help women get pregnant and keep them healthy during and after pregnancy.
Ginger: for over 2000 years, the Chinese have been using ginger to prevent and cure illnesses. Ginger promotes energy, increases circulation, helps digestion, reduces inflammation, and improves metabolism. It is also a natural blood thinner as the baby Aspirin (81 mg), inhibiting fatty deposits from the arteries and reducing the potential risk. Chinese medicine claim that ginger can warm up the uterus to conceive easily. How much: Blend a small piece of fresh ginger (with the skin), a quarter of an inch, and half a lemon with 1 cup of water each time, drink 2 or 3 times a day. Blanch the ginger root in boiling water for a few seconds to sterilize it before using it.
Keep body warm. Chinese medicine believes if women want to get pregnant, they should avoid cold drinks and food.
Prenatal vitamins and Vitamin B2 help general health. Significantly, vitamin B2 can improve the uterus lining and enhance fertility.
