Fibromyalgia

Updated: Sep 23, 2021

Fibromyalgia has many characteristics, including musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signals.

Symptoms sometimes begin after a physical trauma, surgery, infection, or significant psychological stress. In other cases, symptoms gradually accumulate over time with no single triggering event.

Women are much more likely to develop fibromyalgia than men. Many fibromyalgia people also have tension headaches, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and depression.

While there is no cure for fibromyalgia, a variety of medications can help control symptoms. Exercise, relaxation, and stress-reduction measures also may help. (Source: Mayoclinic.com)

Treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine

In traditional Chinese medicine, good health depends upon two things: an unobstructed flow of energy and a balance of vital power. Any health issue can occur when the energy flow is blocked, or the essential function is unbalanced. One analogy would be a traffic jam of energy inside the body, which results in health problems such as fibromyalgia. We use Ping’s meridian massage and acupuncture together to get better results.

Ping’s meridian massage is pressure along the meridians to clear up the body’s traffic jam, make energy and blood flow like a river, and re-balance the vital energy in the body. Acupuncture is hair-thin needles inserted into the skin at specific points along the meridians to re-direct and unblock stagnant energy. The message reaches a much wider surface area, and the hair-thin needles focus on deep and specific acupuncture points; combining both techniques is a unique, holistic, and alternative treatment. The practical results are much more significant than just a single one.

Our regular treatment procedure is doing Ping’s Meridian Massage first to improve circulation and relax the mind and body. Second, insert needles into the specific acupuncture points.

With the above treatment, our fibromyalgia patients get good results. It helps by relieving widespread musculoskeletal pain. It also helps relax the muscles, reduce stress, improve sleep, boosts energy level, and is suitable for general health. Some patients stay pain-free for a while.

Taji, Yoga, Pilates, or Yogilates can help with physical and mental overall well-being.

A healthy diet may help detoxification, improve health conditions and boost the body’s healing power. Would you please check www.healthyping.com to make healthy drinks?
