Eat food as medicine.
Daikon Radish water
You can eat raw daikon radish as a fresh vegetable or as a daikon soup. The Chinese say that eating daikon every day keeps the doctor away. Daikon can clean your lungs and intestines, moisten airways, relieve cough, help with bowel movements and detoxify the body.
Drink cooked daikon water; it is easy to digest. Take the daikon’s skin off, cut it into small pieces, add 3 cups of water, boil 2 minutes, then simmer 5 minutes or until daikon turns soft. Cooling down 2-3 minutes, pour the daikon water into a bottle, add one teaspoon of honey (babies under 1 yr old should not eat honey due to it may contain bacteria); mix well. The daikon water is ready to drink. The drink is beneficial for irritation in the throat, cleaning mucus in the airways, cough, congestion, and bronchitis. Drink this 2-3 times a day or as needed. Better to drink warm rather than cold.

Boil and simmer until the millet turns soft, then it is ready to eat. This porridge is the most important food to boost energy and stay healthy. It is beneficial for women recovering after having a baby or someone returning to good health after an illness. After cooking, add honey or brown sugar to the porridge, which makes it very tasty.
